About
Hi, I'm Gwyn. I've spent the last 20 years working in DevOps and Linux infrastructure—from classic data center deployments to large-scale cloud architectures, and everything in between.
My journey into tech wasn't exactly traditional. I was working as a waiter in Los Alamos when an informal conversation turned into a job opportunity at the local particle accelerator. That's where I discovered my passion for systems, stability, and the cultural side of DevOps that often gets overlooked.
What I Do
I help small businesses design and build reliable infrastructure and effective teams. Good DevOps isn't just about the tools—it's about the people, processes, and culture that make systems stable and teams successful.
I also work with individuals who want to become rock star learners. Whether you're breaking into the field or leveling up your skills, I focus on helping you learn how to learn—the skill that matters most in tech.
Why PlayTechnique?
The PlayTechnique logo shows animals having fun—and that's intentional. Learning and building should be playful, creative, and energizing. I believe the best technical work happens when curiosity and experimentation lead the way.
Let's Work Together
I'm based in Mountain Time but work flexibly with clients everywhere. Whether you need help building infrastructure, establishing DevOps culture, or accelerating your learning journey, let's talk.
